Imperial Tobacco Canada is the leading Canadian tobacco products manufacturer with more than two-thirds of the Canadian premium tailor-made cigarettes market.
Imperial Tobacco Canada's head office is located in Montreal. The company operates one cigarette manufacturing plant in Guelph and two tobacco processing plants in Aylmer (Ontario). Sales offices are located in three major cities across Canada: Montreal, Toronto and Calgary.
Imperial Tobacco Canada’s MIS department regroups 80 employees as well as some external consultants. They provide various services to the corporation such as application development and maintenance, network and system administration, helpdesk services as well as IT training through the company.

THE SITUATION - lack of uniformity between various applications
Over the years, many companies have attempted to integrate and create a certain uniformity with regards to project planning, application maintenance and requests, project budgeting, time tracking as well as integration to back-end systems, like SAP, for financial information. THE RESULTS - track application requests with Genius Planner
Imperial Tobacco Canada has been using Genius Inside solutions for more than two years. During that time, Imperial Tobacco Canada also started to track application requests in Genius Project with project activities, using the same planning tools. They now have an integrated version of their project portfolio that is used in their IT project planning review every September.
